I probably just lost a bunch of people, so I’ll have to backtrack a bit. “Tymaara Akeis” is the moniker I go by in most-all the RPG’s I play. It just rolls off the tongue nice and can fit to most any race possible, outside of Orcs and Goblins.
Now the reason for the quote: There’s a little game coming out called The Secret World sometime next year- Imagine all the conspiracies, fairy tales and horror stories you’ve heard in your life are based on truth…
that they’re all real…
…and you have The Secret World.
In this world, protecting you,are 3 factions: The Illuminati, The Templars, and The Dragon.
Illuminati are the power brokers- the tech savvy, government controlling S.O.B.’s that put mind control substances in your tap water. Their business is shady business.
Then you have the Templars- These are the over-righteous zealots that use the name of God to justify their grasp for power. Yeah- they hid the Holy Grail…if you have a problem with that you meet the working end of a 12-gauge shotgun.
Finally, there are the Dragon. That they exist is all you need to know.
So back on track- So from time to time the development team runs puzzles to get the communities thinking caps on. The solutions usually lead to new information on the game and just adds a great flavor and history to The Secret World.
The community goes to great ends to solve these puzzles, but it seems that a grave mistake has been made…
They sent Tymaara Akeis a piece of the puzzle.
More explanation is needed I think…
So I’d won a signed poster back in January from a contest the community had run, and since I was going through all that other “stuff” in my life, I had filed receiving the thing on the “lesser important things to worry about” place of my brain. About 3 weeks or so ago, I get a shipping roll, labeled from the person running the contest. I noted “cool”, checked out the poster and the cool Dragon Button, sealed up the package and put it with the rest of the “stuff to be moved when I get my apartment” pile in the Garage.
Then my e-mail inbox blows up last week and I find out there was a third item in the roll. A Puzzle Piece- A letter on one side and…something…on the reverse. The community is clamoring (okay, maybe not clamoring) for info on this piece, and I thought to myself:
What would Tymaara do?
For one, she just wouldn’t give out this info freely. The other two factions want the answer to the secret this puzzle holds. She could give the info to another Dragon…but she’d been burnt in the past before.
Decisions, decisions….
I am definitely clamoring.
I am also clamoring.
Insanity, all of us have freely given our information in this endeavor, Illuminati, Templar, and especially our fellow Dragon.
Not giving this piece of information to the think tank isn’t just harming our enemies, it is harming us as well.
So unless you think you can figure this puzzle out yourself, you owe it to us to turn over what you have.
I an very interested to see how this plays out…..very interested.

What would Tymaara do is certainly a valid question, but the ARGs are separate from the roleplaying. They’re about the community working together to learn more about the game, not the characters learning more about their own world.

Let me start by saying that the community is definitely clamoring, while the voices are starting to become too strained to make a sound, they are still present.
I can understand your hesitance although I do wish you had made contact before now. When possible we are requesting photo images of the front of the piece, the back of the piece, and the phrase on the shipping label.
I have carefully monitored the piecing together of the puzzle, we can not be sure how many mundanes and non-Dragon are also participating; thinking it either a game or a way of gaining power for themselves. But the completion appears necessary to gain further access to information, a scant commodity at present.
Respectful of your history, I request you either post the request information to the forums, the wiki, or make contact with me via PM for further negotiations.

Information is power, no question. The question is in where the balance lies. You may well be the fulcrum.
Please set aside any notions of faction on this subject, the puzzle piece you so covet is part of a larger image that all three factions have been working on. From what I understand there are only a few pieces missing now. I can not speak for all Dragon, but this Dragon would like you to unveil your piece to all so that we may Finnish the puzzle and move on. Thank you, Deltree
You are overplaying your hand. Your piece is not needed. We know whats on both sides of the puzzle (yours has an ‘E’ on the back). We think that a new clue will be delivered when the puzzle is completed but also know that if that is the case Funcom must have a backup plan in case one or more of the pieces is lost in transit, etc. Refusing to help the community will simply put your piece in the same category as those which will inevitably be lost and won’t win you any friends either in the community or with Funcom. If you would rather route it through another Dragon for “RP” purposes, there are a few of us here that can forward photos of your piece to myself or one other other Dragon that have posted here.
Sometimes, in order to cause greater chaos, one must first look for the best opportunity to do so. At this early juncture in the puzzle, the only chaos that can be caused is a delay. But by allowing the plot to go into motion by offering up the pieces that you possess – it creates a greater chance for all dragons to strike at a more crucial stage than where we are now.
Tidings, Tymaara Akeis, and may this post find you well. I am not here to join in the chorus of clamoring, but rather to commend your actions.
Truly, if you are indeed the Dragon that you claim, then I fail to see why you would sway to mere clamoring with no other motive or reason. I am saddened to see there are those who seem to believe such, for it seems that they are either questioning you being a Dragon or questioning the meaning of being a dragon, the latter certainly being the worse of the two.
Though I did say “with no other motive or reason,” and I must confess myself ignorant of your reasons. If your reasons are true, then you have no choice but to continue your current choice of actions. If they are not, then you may be in the wrong, or, worse yet, yourself manipulated. You may be unable to reveal your reasons, granted, but if such is the case I only ask that you consult with other Dragons in whom you trust and were not “burnt” by, as you put it.

Would Tymaara, withhold the missing piece from all three Societies?
Knowing that is time of greatest peril to the planet all three societies must all bring their pieces to lead us all to the promised land.
I believe Tymaara might consider sharing just as the rest of us piece holders did. It is now very clear to the community that putting together the entire puzzle is of the utmost importance.
I can only hold back the Illuminati hit men for so long, but I will do my best, as I am sure the other of the “Big Three” are as well.
I trust you will make the proper decision.
